Our Kitchen
Chef John
Chef John Chien Lee boasts over 30 years of experience in the world of Japanese cuisine. His journey began at a young age, where he tackled every role within the kitchen, from dishwasher to seasoned cook. This dedication fueled his passion, leading him to Las Vegas, where he honed his skills under the tutelage of culinary masters on the famed Las Vegas Strip.
His hard work and talent culminated in his appointment as the Executive Chef of Social House at The City Center Las Vegas. Here, Chef Lee describes his experience as "the best times of his life," a period marked by growth, creativity, and collaboration with his esteemed team.
In 2013, Chef John embarked on a new chapter with the establishment of SOHO Japanese Restaurant. This venture, recognized with the prestigious "2014 Best of Vegas" award, soared to even greater heights, achieving the coveted #3 spot on Yelp's "Top 100 Restaurants in the United States" for 2015. These accolades are just a glimpse into the remarkable success of SOHO Japanese Restaurant.
Fueled by the success of SOHO Japanese Restaurant, Chef John established the SOHO Restaurant Group. This group embodies his unwavering dedication to the culinary arts. Each establishment within the group serves as a testament to his passion and skill, seamlessly blending diverse culinary influences with the art of Japanese cuisine.
Chef Leonard
Chef Leonard’s relationship with Chef John spans over 10 years where they worked together at Social House after graduating from Le Cordon Bleu. From there, he moved on to become part of the opening team at Comme Ca Brasserie under the direction of David Meyer. Chef Leonard concluded his career in Las Vegas at Twist by Michelin rate chef Pierre Gagnaire at The Mandarin Oriental. He spent 5 years at Twist honing his skills in both modern and classic French pastries.
